Raw Life is the only organic produce and grocery co-op in Westchester County, now in its 11th year of operation. The store provides the highest quality organic and natural foods at the best possible prices for members.
Originally started in the basement of a founding member, The co-op is a cooperative, member-owned and operated food store. Each member shares their time, energy and of course their insights, 4 hours per month with creative, technical and office procedures to maintain optimal presentation and efficient store operations.
The tools to a healthier lifestyle should be available to all people, not just the economically advantaged, which is one reason Raw Life is excited about becoming part of the diverse, burgeoning Peekskill community. As obesity rates skyrocket and the number of plastic bags in our landfills grows, the need to eat healthier and be more ecologically conscious is more imperative. Another mission of the coop is to buy from and support local farms, such as Hemlock Farm in Cortlandt Manor and Hilltop Hanover in Yorktown Heights.
